Ms. Shaina – Lil’ LambsKids Junction teacher Miss Shaina

I received my Assistant and Lead Teacher Certificates while attending Madison East High School. Then went on to MATC and received my Infant and Toddler Certificate, along with having a scholarship through the T.E.A.C.H. program where I attended NWTC to further my education in the Early Childhood Education Field.

I started babysitting at the age of 12 for neighbors and family. I started working in a child care center at 17 and have been in a center ever since. I have 20 years of experience in the child education field and plan on having many more years to come.

During my free time, I enjoy shopping, cleaning, listening to music, and spending lots of time outdoors. I enjoy going on long walks and camping with my daughter and boyfriend and being around friends and family.

I graduated from Abundant Life Christian School in 2015

My mom had an in-home daycare for most of my childhood so I have been around kids for most of my life. I worked at Campus for Kids for 5-1/2 years.

I love Jesus, people, and Laughing. In 2018 I went on a missions trip through YWAM and stayed in Switzerland and Lebanon for 5 months. In my free time I love doing activities through my church, crocheting, and hanging out with my niece.

I graduated in 2017 from Utah State University with a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education and a minor in English Language Arts. I am currently working on courses with the Childcare Education Institute to further my education in early childhood and infant care.

After receiving my degree, I taught 5th grade for four years in a public elementary school. Prior to teaching full time, I worked as a paraprofessional in a kindergarten classroom. Though my interest in education and child development first started as a teenager, while babysitting for many families in my neighborhood, as well as caring for my four younger siblings.

In my free time I love to read, watch movies, and go hiking with my husband.

I graduated high school in 2021 from Franklin High School in the Milwaukee Area. After graduating, I started Edgewood College to study Children and Family studies. I will be graduating in the winter of 2024 with my undergrad degree, and will be continuing my education and starting grad school for child life which I will graduate from in the summer of 2026

Starting at the age of 12, I have been babysitting for various families. More recently, I have worked two summers at YMCA day camp, where I primarily worked with 6 and 7-year-olds, but floated around other areas of camp. I also have been volunteering at Children’s Wisconsin and Gilda’s Club where I have gained a lot of experience in adapting activities to the child’s developmental needs, while also learning more about kids in general.

In my free time, I can often be found with my friends exploring Madison. We like to go into the little shops or find new places to get food. Last year my two best friends and I started a student organization called Beat Childhood Cancer Edgewood, which has been a blast. It is nice to be able to raise awareness and money for a good cause! I also really enjoy baking, swimming, and reading a good book!
