I graduated from University of Wisconsin-Madison with a degree in elementary education. I have a minor in Health Education and have had extensive training in caring for children and adults with special needs. I also completed early child training at Madison College to enable me to open a family daycare in Madison. I’ve been working with Children for 40+ years.
I became a respite caregiver for families with children needing special help and opened a licensed family day care in the late 80s early 90s then decided to finish my degree in elementary education. I then had children of my own and home-schooled for 12 years while caring for the children of several families. As my children got older, I became a licensed substitute for several districts in Dane County. I love being with kids and seeing them light up as they learn. I am a devoted Christian and love to teach about God. I am a wife and mother to 4 adults.
Ms. Kim
I am a passionate and loving teacher. I hold a Childcare Services Certification from Southwest Tech, went to University of Wisconsin Platteville for elementary education and have over 6 years of experience working in diverse educational settings. I have previously worked at Play Haven Childcare as a floater, Kids Junction as a preschool to 3K teacher, and SwimWest Swim School as a private swim instructor and team manager. My heart has always belonged to educating young children, so I’ve returned to Kids Junction to continue my true calling. My philosophy on teaching is letting children experience learning through play, doing, and going outside the box. Creating a safe and stimulating environment where it’s safe to make mistakes is where they thrive. When I am not teaching, I’m home spending time with my daughter. We love to cook, read, and travel together. I also enjoy arts, crafts and nature!
