Here at Kids Junction, we realize that Madison is a hub for hard-working families who desire high-quality infant care.
That’s why we don’t just see ourselves as a daycare, but a place where your infant or toddler can be nurtured like family. We want them to grow into the person they’re created to be. Your infants and toddlers are treasured members of our Kids Junction family before they can even speak!

Infant & Toddler Curriculum
In our infant and toddler program, teachers support developmental milestones with your child as they learn and grow through their first year and toddlerhood. After safety, our priority for each day is creating a unique and stimulating environment of play, music, and language repetition, including the use of stories, blocks, table toys, music and movement as well as outside activities and playtime. We take advantage of the natural environment to encourage learning and independence as your child explores using their senses and abilities.
In order to determine the individual needs of your child, we consult the Wisconsin Model Early Learning Standards (WMELS) which allows us to create goals catered to your child’s particular developmental stages. We also utilize Frog Street Infant curriculum to plan activities which nurture the cognitive growth of your child.

Infants & Toddlers FAQs
What age can my child start in the Infants & Toddlers program?
We accept children as young as 6 weeks old into our Infants & Toddlers program. The program provides a nurturing setting where young children can grow, learn, and build early relationships in a caring community.
What do infants and toddlers do during the day?
Each day includes age-appropriate activities that support learning through play, music, stories, language repetition, sensory exploration, movement, and outdoor time. Teachers also provide opportunities for children to explore blocks, table toys, crafts, and other activities that support early development.
How does Kids Junction support my child’s individual developmental needs?
Teachers use the Wisconsin Model Early Learning Standards to help identify developmental goals that fit each child’s stage of growth. Activities are planned to encourage cognitive, social-emotional, language, fine motor, and gross motor development in ways that are appropriate for infants and toddlers.
What curriculum is used in the Infants & Toddlers program?
Kids Junction uses Frog Street Infant curriculum along with the Wisconsin Model Early Learning Standards. This combination helps teachers plan engaging activities that encourage learning, independence, and healthy development during a child’s earliest years.
What should parents provide for an infant or toddler?
Parents of infant and toddler-aged children should provide the milk or formula their child needs. Families can also review the program supply list and contact the Kids Junction team about any items needed to help their child have comfortable, successful days.
