I graduated from Beloit College in 2014 with a bachelors degree in biology and a minor in music. Right out of college I began working at a camp leading various outdoor education courses for nearly 2 years. From there I worked at a childcare center in Mount Horeb for 1 1/2 years where I earned my lead teacher qualifications. I have been at Kids Junction since June 2020 where I have enjoyed hanging out with the school-agers and teaching music classes to the littles. In my free time I enjoy spending time with my husband and daughter. Together we enjoy going for walks, spending time up north and playing in our yard.

I am working toward a bachelors degree in health promotion and health equity at University of Wisconsin Madison. I have studied psychology of infancy to adolescence, child development from infancy to adolescence as well as child cognitive psychology. I will be starting my masters degree soon for applied behavior analysis. I plan to receive my Board Certified Behavior Analyst Certification to work in early intervention with young children on the autism spectrum using Applied Behavior Analysis therapy. My first job was as a youth sports coach which I did all through high school while also nannying on the side. Since starting college, I have done respite care for children with autism, down syndrome and cerebral palsy. I have had experience with this community for the past 10 years because my mom is a special education teacher for children on the autism spectrum. I did respite at a facility called Sensory Zone for a year and a half as well. I spend most of my free time shopping at thrift stores or reading books. Outside of work I like to try new coffee shops with friends and take part in workout classes. I always make time to exercise each morning. I enjoy running, Pilates and yoga.
